A Shared Vision

We’re proud to have been working with the BBC for over 15 years, delivering digital products and services ranging from children’s education interactives to the London Olympics torch relay tracker. We’re pleased to be part of the BBC’s Digital Design Framework (specialising in UX & design for younger audiences), Digital Services Framework, and the Games & Interactive Experiences roster.

From reinventing their powerful games engine for consistent creation of accessible and inclusive children’s games, to facilitating workshops and conducting user experience research for viewing experiences across a broader age range. We’ve built custom games from the ground up, and and have been pivotal in communicating future product visions. Our challenge remains the same - to deliver valuable digital experiences for audiences.

Throughout all of our engagements with the BBC, users remain front and central. Making sure that people can access, view and personalise content is fundamental to their mission to deliver value to license fee payers. We apply our deep expertise and strategic thinking to lead innovation for the organisation and enjoyment for audiences.

The impact

The games that we’ve built for the BBC have been highly praised and award worthy. The games engine we built continues to be invaluable for third parties building educational games and interactives for CBeebies, CBBC and BBC Bitesize. In addition to being on both the UX & Design and Younger Audiences rosters, we’ve developed an augmented reality experience for Children in Need and content for launches for the innovation team.

A few of our favourite projects

Children in Need

In collaboration with BBC R&D, BBC Children in Need, and Condense, we brought an iconic fundraising mascot to life through a seamless, interactive ‘paw-gmented’ reality experience. Built to delight donors of all ages, the mobile experience uses 3D volumetric capture to project Pudsey directly into supporters' living rooms after they make a contribution. By focusing on intuitive UX and friction-free access, we helped broaden the appeal's reach and deliver a memorable, highly personal thank-you to thousands of supporters.

Dash & Blink

We created a gamified learning experience for BBC Bitesize about a monster and his robot friend, designed to inspire confidence in KS2 age children and a love of languages. Covering French, Spanish and Mandarin, our unique art and animation style brought the characters to life and encouraged repeat play and learning via our ‘spaced repetition’ algorithm.

Future World Design

Collaborating closely with Manon Dave and the BBC’s Future World Design (FWD) team, we brought to life the vision for the next era of interactive broadcast TV. By combining audience engagement insights, deep UX/UI expertise, and creative problem-solving, we reimagined how viewers experience entertainment, news, and sports, making broadcast TV more dynamic, intuitive, and exciting than ever.

Dance Mat Typing

A ground-up reimagining of a BBC classic, we built Dance Mat Typing for BBC Bitesize to encourage the latest generation of younger audiences to learn how to touch type. Billie the goat and friends take children on a journey featuring multiple locations, characters, and game types, all brought to life by our visual, sound and game engine design.

BBC Bitesize Vision 2026

Partnering closely with the BBC Bitesize team, we brought to life their ambitious vision for the future of digital learning. Using pure visual storytelling—with no voiceover and minimal text—we created a stylised, vibrant animation that imagines Bitesize as an exciting part of a young learner’s daily routine. By following a cast of characters through a colourful metaverse of milestones and learning pathways, the film effortlessly communicates complex future concepts, from AI-adaptive learning to social integration, well ahead of any feature or UI development.
